Invitation to and participation in the “Sustainable Technologies for Stationary Air Conditioning Workshop”

Following an invitation by Dr. Daniel de Graaf from the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, Dr. Jürgen Süss represented eChiller and the topic “Chilling with pure water as a refrigerant” at the Sustainable Technologies for Stationary Air Conditioning Workshop. The workshop was initiated by the governments of Canada, USA and Germany.

The event comprised a series of different workshops with the aspiration of familiarizing participants with climate-friendly and cost-effective refrigeration technologies. The focus rested on the practical applicability of alternatives to reduce the use of F-gases, which contribute to accelerating the greenhouse effect.

The workshop was held on the sidelines of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo), which took place from 28th January to 1st February in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
