Clean cooling – water as a refrigerant

The English language magazine “engine” offers exciting and current topics on technology and science. In the March issue 2021, an extensive article on the topic of clean cooling and Efficient Energy’s new eChiller120 was published.
The article explains the negative impact of the cooling industry on the climate crisis and why a shift to natural refrigerants is overdue.

Efficient Energy, a Bavarian maker of cooling equipment developed the Bluezero® technology, which uses water as a refrigerant, offers up to 80% energy savings and leads to significantly lower CO2 emissions. The company’s new eChiller120 has now made clean cooling viable for applications requiring higher cooling capacities in the field of mechanical engineering, the rubber and plastics industry or for cooling data centres and control cabinets.
